Directory Standards
HolisticVeterinarians.org helps pet owners find holistic and integrative veterinary practices near them. These standards explain what appears on the site and how it is kept up to date.
Who is included
The directory includes veterinary practices that offer holistic or integrative care, such as acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, nutrition or rehabilitation, alongside conventional care. A small number of pet wellness businesses, such as pet food, herb and supplement companies, appear on their own business pages and are never presented as veterinary practices.
What each page shows
Practice pages show the practice name, location, phone, website, practice type, veterinarians and services when those details are available. Any detail we don’t have is left off the page instead of guessed. We never show email addresses, to protect practices from spam.
No medical claims
Services are named only as services a practice offers. HolisticVeterinarians.org does not claim that any treatment works, is safe, or is right for any pet. Talk with a licensed veterinarian about your pet’s care.
Featured practices
HolisticVeterinarians.org chooses the featured practices on the homepage and on some state and city pages. Being featured is not a rating or an endorsement.
Keeping pages accurate
Practice owners and staff can update or remove their details at any time through our contact form, and anyone can use it to tell us about a mistake. Clinic hours, services, veterinarians, and availability can change without notice, so always confirm appointments, services, prices, and other details directly with the clinic before your visit.
Links
The only outside link on a practice page is the practice’s own website or Facebook page.
